OUR BELIEFS
The scriptures are inspired
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thess 2:13 ; 2 Peter 1:21)
There is but one living and true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7-8; Isaiah 43:10; Deut 6:4)
The Fall of Man
Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our likeness" However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
(Gen 1:26,27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19)
That Jesus, the Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried. We believe Jesus rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven to the right hand of the FATHER victorious over death, hell, and the grave .
(Matt 1:23; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 1:9,11 ; Eph 1:19-23; Acts 2:32-33; Luke 24:1-7; Hebrew 1:3)
Family and Marriage, we believe that the term "marriage" has only one meaning, and that is marriage sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.
Matt. 19-8, Eph. 5:25-29, Gen. 2:24
Jesus Christ shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins and to break the power of sin in the believer's life.
(Romans 3:25; 1 John 3:5-10; Ephesians 2:1-10)
Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ.
(John 3:3, Romans 10:9-15; Ephesians 2:28; Titus 2:11-14; Titus 3:4-7)
We are justified by faith alone.
(Romans 5:1)
Baptism in Water is commanded by SCRIPTURE. All who have repented and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in the newness of Life. We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Eternal Godhead.
(Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47, Rom 6:4, Matt 28:19, Acts 19:5, Acts 2:36-39)
In the Baptism in the Holy GHOST, with it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. The initial evidence of the reception of this experience is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.
(Luke 11:13; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:1-18; Acts 8:12-17 ; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 11:14-16 ; Acts 19:1-6)
In sanctification, which delivers us from the power and dominion of sin. It is followed by life-long growth in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Acts 26:18; 2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:23)
Healing is available through what Jesus accomplished in His death on the cross.
(Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-16; Exodus 15:26)
The Blessed Hope, the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed Hope of the Church
(1 These 4:16-17 ; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
The Millennial Reign of Christ, the second coming of Christ includes the catching away of saints, which is our blessed hope, and the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years.
(Zech 14:5 ; Matt 24:27,30 ; Rev 1:7 ; Rev 19:11-14 ; Rev 20:1-6)
There will be a final judgement in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
( Matt 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev 19:20; Rev 20:11-15 ; Rev 21-22)
There will be a New Heaven and a New Earth. "We, according to His promise, look for a new heaven and new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."
(2 Peter 3:13 ; Rev 21,22)
It is the responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8)
